Course of Study Resources for District Boards

 Ø      International Sourcebook on Developmental Standards for Ordained Ministers

The International Sourcebook contains the denomination standards used by each region to fashion the regional Sourcebook for Ministerial Development. The International Sourcebook is created and edited by ICOSAC and adopted by the General Board.

 

Ø      Regional Sourcebooks on Ordination

The Sourcebook describes the process for preparing clergy for ordination in each of the world regions. Download the Sourcebook for your region.

 

Ø      Handbook for Christian Ministries (USA)

The Handbook is a candidate’s guide on preparing for ministry. It should be given to everyone who expresses a call to ministry.

      This form (rtf) may be filled out, printed, and mailed to local pastor, Clergy Development, district superintendent, DMSB.

This compressed zip file contains documents (rtf) that describe a system for behavioral interviewing developed by the Canada National Board and the Canada West district. Used by district boards to assess candidate readiness for ordination. After download, double-click the file name on your harddrive to extract the documents.

 

Ø      DMSB Electronic Database of Student Records 

This compressed zip file contains an instruction manual (Microsoft Word document) and a blank student database that is managed by Microsoft Access which must be purchased separately. The database will track student personal and contact information and provide electronic records of all Modular Course of Study and/or Alliance courses the student has completed in educational preparation for ordination. The material has been shared by Rev. Kuhrman Cox, Vicksburg, Mississippi. After download, double-click the file name on your harddrive to extract the documents.
